Find Lawrence County Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Lawrence County inmate may appear in the sheriff's public booking feed while the feed lists that booking, but the feed is not a released-person photo archive. Lawrence County booking photo searches should start with official booking records, then move to a records request, ADOC records for state prisoners, or registry sources only when the record type fits. A Lawrence County booking photo does not by itself confirm release, disposition, or current supervision.

Lawrence County Mugshot Sources

The primary official county photo channel found in the research is the Lawrence County OCV inmate feed behind the sheriff's Inmates page. The raw feed includes an images array with small and large image URLs hosted under the MyOCV S3 path. It also shows booking data such as name, booking date, arresting agency, charges, and bond amount.

The feed's limits matter. It does not show release date, release time, release reason, or a released flag. A photo in the feed is a booking-photo source for listed entries, not proof that the person is still in custody or proof that the person has been released. A released person's official photo may require a sheriff records request if the public feed no longer displays it.

No official release-photo archive was found. The county source is an OCV booking feed plus records-request fallback.

Lawrence County OCV Photo Feed

The OCV image path is a distinctive Lawrence County detail. The public feed exposes booking-photo image URLs under myocv.s3.amazonaws.com/ocvapps/a44735650/images/. The manifest includes an example image-host source to document that photo fields exist in the feed.

The example OCV image-host source is shown in this manifest screenshot.

The image source documents the feed's photo channel only. It should be paired with the booking record, court status, and sheriff confirmation when the question is release-specific.

Photo Channel What It Can Confirm What It Cannot Confirm
Sheriff OCV feed Photo displayed for a listed booking entry. Release date, release reason, or current custody status by itself.
Sheriff records request Whether an official booking photo exists and is releasable. Restricted or exempt material.
ADOC search or records State-prison identifying record while available or by records channel. County jail-only booking photo archive.
ALEA registry Photo for qualifying registrants only. General jail mugshot lookup.

Request Lawrence County Booking Photos

If the feed no longer displays the person or an official copy is needed, request the booking photo from the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. The sheriff operates the detention center at 242 Parker Road, Moulton, AL 35650. The jail phone is 256-974-2550, and the sheriff office phone is 256-974-2500.

A purpose-neutral request should identify the booking record. Include full name, approximate booking date, arresting agency, charges if known, and any booking or local ID if available. Ask whether a booking photograph exists and whether it is available for inspection or copying under Alabama public-records law.

  1. Search the sheriff inmate page and note the booking details if the record appears.
  2. Call the jail for current custody or release confirmation if timing matters.
  3. Submit a written records request to the sheriff when a photo or release entry is needed.
  4. Use Alabama Code Sections 36-12-40 and 36-12-41 as the public-records baseline, subject to exemptions.
  5. Check the court record for disposition, sentence, sealing, or expungement entries that may affect public access.

ALEA Registry Photo Limits

The ALEA Sex Offender Registry is a separate source. It may show photos for qualifying released registrants, but it is not a general mugshot search. ALEA says only offenses listed in Alabama's Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Act Section 15-20A-5 are posted, and some juvenile, youthful-offender, or first-conviction categories may not appear.

The ALEA registry limitation source is shown in this manifest screenshot.

The registry source is useful only when the person has a qualifying registry issue. Absence from the registry does not mean the person was never booked, never released, or has no court record.

Third-Party Mugshot Copies

Commercial and reposted mugshot pages may mirror old booking images after the sheriff feed changes. They may not show release, dismissal, sentence completion, transfer, or expungement information. If a copied photo conflicts with sheriff, court, ADOC, ABPP, or registry records, use the official source for the record question.

The research did not verify a current Alabama anti-pay-to-remove mugshot statute. Do not assume a statewide removal right. Alabama public-records law, agency policy, exemptions, case status, sealing, expungement, and court orders can all affect access and publication. For release confirmation, a photo is secondary to the jail release record and the court docket.

Photo Versus Release Record

A booking photo answers a different question than a release record. A photo can identify the booking entry. A release record can show release date, release time, release authority, release type, and transfer destination. Court records can show the legal reason for release, including bond, dismissal, time served, probation, or sentence completion.
